SmartLipo is a brand of laser-assisted liposuction. A thin laser fiber heats and liquefies fat before or during suction. Here is what the laser does, where it is used, and how it compares with 365mc’s methods.
The basics
What the laser does
Laser-assisted liposuction is often called LAL.
After tumescent fluid is infused, a laser fiber inside a fine cannula delivers heat to the fat layer. The heat disrupts fat cells and coagulates small vessels; the liquefied fat is then suctioned. Some providers say the heat may encourage mild skin tightening in small areas such as the chin or arms.
Heat-based devices require careful technique to avoid burns and irregularities. As with any liposuction, the surgeon’s experience and the facility matter more than the device name.

365mc developed the M.A.I.L system with Microsoft. A motion sensor on the cannula records the surgeon’s strokes, and the data is analyzed with machine learning to guide more even, safer fat removal.

365mc and a research team at Ewha Womans University signed an agreement to develop an AI program that analyses breathing patterns during sedation and predicts the risk of apnea, so the depth of anesthesia can be adjusted before a problem occurs.
It builds on 365mc’s large base of liposuction anesthesia records and on the hospital’s principle that the anesthesia team monitors every patient until recovery.
